Route 2 & 91

Sometimes when I leave work on Friday to go to Pat's I travel 2W to 91S to 90W and end up west of Springfield in about 1.5 hours. This can beat going 2W to 190S to 290W to 90W and passing through Worcester and/or Springfield around rush hour. Also, 90W to 84W in Sturbridge can be a major backup especially on holidays.
2W drops to an undivided highway about 30 minutes into the 60 minutes to get to 91S, but is improving with several widening and straightening projects. Greenfield is the last town before 91S and has an interesting lookout right after the last gas station.

Above: Closeup of the falls on the left in the overall shot. Further to the left was an unopened gate which didn't make it into any photographs.

Below: Closeup of the falls on the right.

The warning sign in the overlook parking lot. The hill on the other side of the fence was very steep to lead down to the water's edge, so not sure why the sign was posted when it wasn't encouraged to walk down.
