Persistent SpyAxe

If you haven't heard from me in awhile, its because SpyAxe has taken hold of my home computer. Everytime I clean it off, it comes back. I turned off Norton AntiVirus once to allow a java script to run and forgot to turn it back on and it got me. Lavasoft Ad-Aware and Microsoft Spyware and Norton AntiVirus all find components of SpyAxe during scans in both normal and safe mode, but no product has yet been able to eliminate the status bar (near the clock) Virus Alert popup which somehow reactivates itself when I'm online to go get another copy of SpyAxe. I've been keeping all 3 (Virus, Adware and Spyware) programs on. The Spyware catches SpyAxe coming in again, but then pretty much shuts me down while it cleans up - very frustrating!
Any inputs will be appreciated (except for "buy a MAC" and "stop surfing porn") neither of which I'm going to do - uhh wait, that didn't come out quite right, how about - won't do, don't do...
